Hi, Paul Hoffman here again. When I first arrived in Northeast Wisconsin in the late '70s, my first job was working for a builder who specialized in designing and constructing earth-sheltered residential homes. During that time, people were increasingly adopting energy-saving solutions like solar power, heat pumps, small wind turbines, and solar hot water systems.
Unfortunately, many of the tax credits supporting these initiatives disappeared in the early '80s. However, with advancements in technology and the return of tax incentives, these systems now offer quicker payback periods and greater reliability.
In recent years, during Earth Day events, we’ve had the opportunity to present on various sustainable energy topics, including electric vehicle (EV) systems, heat pump technology, and solar electrical systems.
For this year’s earth day, we’ll have Jordan from the Outagamie County landfill join us so you can learn more about landfill services & recycling.  Join us April 26th at 9am. And don’t forget to bring light bulbs for free recycling!
