​After product service life is over, then what?

​Disposal is the last step in the life of a product, be it a single use item or a durable product.  In disposal, our goals are to minimize cost, carbon generation, and use of landfill space.  Additionally, we want to recover as much reusable raw material as possible.  Finally, we want to properly dispose of any hazardous waste.
This page is under construction and, when finished, will treat all disposal processes.  For now, we provide the several regularly scheduled recycling and disposal processes sponsored by SustainGreenville.

Recycling Events sponsored by Sustain Greenville.

​April 25th 2026 - Earth Day:  From 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon Sustain will accept fluorescent light bulbs for safe disposal at no charge.  Held at the Greenville Village Hall.

August 5, 2026:  Electronics recycling 3:00 - 6:00 in association with Farmers' Market. This event is held in conjunction with "Recycle that Stuff," a local recycler.  Find us at the Greenville Village Hall.

November 1, 2025 to January 31, 2026:  Christmas light recycling collections at several drop boxes.  Locations for these boxes will be available well before collection starts.   Drop box locations here.
